Sport on prescription
It was in Strasbourg, in 2012, that the term “sport on prescription” was born. All studies are therefore unanimous on the benefits of physical activity for chronic diseases such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes or cancer, but also for depression, long-term covid or old age. But if physical activity has beneficial effects on health and it can now be prescribed by doctors (without being reimbursed by social security), is this enough for them to have the reflex? Does having a prescription for an adapted sports session allow patients to make lasting changes to their lifestyle habits? And are practices in France the same everywhere?
